LIFETIME GUARANTEE ON ALL PARTS

All parts are guaranteed for the manufacturers estimated lifespan of the parts. This amount of time is dependent upon the usage that the individual part sustains. If utilized just around the holidays, this amount could be upwards of 30-40 years.

When used properly, on average the components will last around 20-30 years.

– Trimlight Standard Residential: Lifetime Product Warranty
– Trimlight Commercial Lights: Lifetime Product Warranty
– Landscape Lights: 10-Year Product Warranty
– Down Lights: Lifetime Product Warranty
– Globe Lights: Lifetime Product Warranty (2-Year Coverage on the lens)
– Ridge Lights: 1-Year Warranty

*If the lights are operated continuously for 12-16 hours daily, excluding the hottest days of summer when extreme temperatures could impact them, they are expected to last approximately 7-8 years.

**Lifespan of the controls may be affected by future technology changes. 

1 YEAR MINIMUM LABOR WARRANTY

Any labor costs to make repairs on manufacturer defective parts are covered for a minimum of 1 full year. This may include faulty bulbs, power supply parts, LED controllers, connections, aluminum channel finish, etc. Some dealers across the nation may offer longer labor warranties but all dealers are required to provide a minimum of 1 year. **Trimlight HQ is the manufacturer of your lighting system and is not responsible for installation, support, or repairs. These services are provided exclusively by your local dealer, who operates as an independent business and is not affiliated with Trimlight HQ.

LANDSCAPE LIGHTING PRODUCT WARRANTY DETAILS

Please be advised: The following are not covered under the landscape lighting product warranty and will void any applicable coverage if present:

Normal Wear and Tear, Including but Not Limited To:
– Fading of powder-coated finishes due to sun exposure
– Natural color variation or patina on metal housings caused by environmental exposure

Damage Resulting From the Following Is Also Excluded:
– Improper installation, maintenance, or handling
– Misuse, abuse, accidental damage, or unauthorized alterations
– Electrical issues such as power surges, lightning strikes, or flooding (acts of nature)
– Use of non-Trimlight parts or unauthorized modifications to the system
– Animal interference, including chewing or nesting that causes damage to wiring or fixtures
– Accidental impact, such as damage from shovels, lawn equipment, tools, or falling objects

LIMITED WARRANTY ITEMS

Although the control board that connects to the smartphone or tablet is fully covered under the lifetime parts warranty, the software that connects the unit to the device is not covered. Connection issues due to Wi-Fi interference or radio frequency interference is not covered under the warranty. Connecting the Trimlight Controller to the local network is ideal but may not be the best for your specific situation. Using the Trimlight signal that can be broadcast from the box is the most reliable. All troubleshooting steps should be taken first before contacting a local representative for a repair. A minimum service fee of $75 may be charged if the parts are shown to work. Learn more about our warranty below.

 

SELLER WARRANTS THAT THE PRODUCT SOLD WILL CONFORM TO THE SPECIFICATIONS FURNISHED BY THE PURCHASER (EXCEPT AS THE SAME MAY BE MODIFIED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE WRITTEN AGREEMENT OF THE PARTIES) AND WILL BE FREE FROM DEFECTS IN MATERIALS AND WORKMANSHIP. THE FOLLOWING WARRANTIES AND REMEDIES SET FORTH HEREIN ARE CONDITIONED UPON PROPER STORAGE, INSTALLATION, USE AND MAINTENANCE, AND DOCUMENTATION THEREOF, CONFORMANCE WITH ANY APPLICABLE RECOlvlMENDATIONS OF THE SELLER AND CONFORMANCE WITH APPLICABLE IEEE, ANSI, ASTM AND OSHA STANDARDS.

SELLER’S EXCLUSIVE OBLIGATION UNDER THIS WARRANTY SHALL BE TO REPAIR, OR AT ITS OPTION, TO DELIVER TO PURCHASER A SUFFICIENT QUANTITY OF PRODUCT TO REPLACE ANY PRODUCT WHICH PROVES DEFECTIVE WITHIN 40 YEARS FROM THE DATE OF SHIPMENT OR LIFESPAN OF THE BULB OF 50,000 HOURS (DEPENDENT UPON BELOW CRITERIA) PROVIDED THAT THE PURCHASER GIVES SELLER PROMPT WRITTEN NOTICE (AND IN NO EVENT LATER THAN 30 DAYS), AND SATISFACTORY PROOF OF SUCH DEFECT AND, AT SELLER’S OPTION AFFORDS REPRESENTATIVE OF OF SELLER THE OPPORTUNITY TO EXAMINE AND INSPECT THE PRODUCT AT THE JOBSITE AND TO REMOVE REPRESENTATIVE SAMPLES FOR TESTING, AND REVIEW ALL DOCUMENTATION OF INSTALLATION AND MAINTENANCE.

THE WARRANTY COVERING THE PORTION OF THE PRODUCT REPAIRED OR REPLACED BY SELLER UNDER THE ABOVE CONDITIONS SHALL BE REINSTATED FOR A PRORATED PERIOD NOT TO EXCEED 40 YEARS FROM THE ORIGINAL PRODUCT SHIPMENT DATE OR OVERALL LIFESPAN OF THE 50,000 HOUR DIODE USAGE.
THE FOREGOING OBLIGATIONS ARE IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER OBLIGATIONS AND LIABILITIES INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE. ALL WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE OR OTHERWISE, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED IN FACT OR BY LAWARE DISCLAIMED BY SELLER AND EXCLUDED. THE FOREGOING WARRANTY SETS FORTH SELLER’S ENTIRE AND EXCLUSIVE LIABILITY AND BUYER’S EXCLUSIVE REMEDY FOR ANY CLAIM OF DAMAGES IN CONNECTION WITH THE SALE OR FURNISHING OF GOODS OR PARTS, THEIR DESIGN, SUITABILITY FOR USE, INSTALLATION OR OPERATION.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

SELLER WILL IN NO EVENT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES WHATSOEVER, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF USE OF PURCHASER’S FACILITIES, LOSS OF REVENUE, LOSS OF PROFITS AND CLAIMS OF ANY CUSTOMERS OF PURCHASER, AND SELLER’S LIABILITY UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WILL EXCEED THE CONTRACT PRICE FOR THE GOODS FOR WHICH LIABILITY IS CLAIMED.

MATERIAL AND LABOR WARRANTY

ALL MATERIALS INSTALLED BY AN AUTHORIZED TRIMLIGHT DEALER WILL COME WITH THE ABOVE REFERENCED LIMITED WARRANTY (SEE EXCLUSIONS BELOW) THE FINISH ON ALL ALUMINUM WILL NOT CHIP, PEEL, FLAKE, OR BLISTER UNDER CONDITIONS OF ORDINARY WEAR. ALL WARRANTIES ON THE LIGHT STRINGS AND DIODES ARE SET FORTH AS 50,000 HOURS PER DIODE. LIFE EXPECTANCY OF EACH BULB IS DEPENDANT UPON STANDARD USAGE. ALL AUTHORIZED DEALERS WILL HEREBY TAKE SOLE RESPONSIBILITY OF INSTALLATION WARRANTIES ANY AND ALL COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH THE LABOR TO DO SO. PLEASE CONSULT YOUR LOCAL AUTHORIZED TRIM LIGHT REPRESENTATIVE FOR CLARIFICATION ON LOCAL INSTALLATION WARRANTIES.

THIS WARRANTY IS NON-TRANSFERRABLE AND DOES NOT COVER THE FOLLOWING ACCIDENTAL DAMAGE, SETTLEMENT, STRUCTURAL SHRINKAGE OR DISTORTION OF THE PROPERTY STRUCTURE, FIRE, LIGHTNING, HURRICANE, TORNADO, WINDSTORM, EARTHQUAKE, HAIL, OR OTHER ACTS OF GOD, DETERIORATION DUE TO AIR
POLLUTION OR CONTACT WITH DISSIMILAR MATERIALS, MISUSE OR ABUSE, VANDALISM, AIRBORNE STAINS, MOLD, MILDEW ACCUMULATION, IMPACT OF FOREIGN OBJECTS, WATER AND ICE DAMAGE.
